How borders cross the forced displaced. Asylum seekers residing in the Basque Country
Abstract
In this article we intend to attend to the way in which the border crosses the experience of the forced displaced persons who request asylum in another State, in this case the Spanish State. Using a qualitative methodology, two metaphors are used to address the way in which this border crosses asylum seekers, the metaphor of «form» and that of «content». In this way it is intended to access how forced displacement becomes the framework of possibilities for the construction of civil society while acting in the recognition and categorization of the displaced in their becoming asylum. The need is here to address the contexts of destructuring as spaces that are managed in order to promote new regulatory frameworks that establish the particularity of those who cross the border in the demand for asylum. The novelty of the writing is based on the idea of managing a third party, the displaced person who arrives, while generating a certain impact on the society it hosts and putting into practice a moral economy that legitimizes the actions that are developed.Downloads
