At the Crossroad. Disengagement and reclosure educational factors in the pathway of six young in Catalonia (Spain)
Abstract
Early School Leaving (ESL) is an educational and social problem of first order. In the European context, it is clear that both Spain (24%) and Catalonia (24.9%) are located well above the European average (12.8%) and the target set by the European Commission in the European Strategy 2020 (10%). Nevertheless, as the data reveals, in the last years there had been a reduction of it, accompanied by an increased school return. In this context this work takes part, analyzing the two phenomena separately and combined, identifying those factors that influence with more importance in their development, as well as trying to establish links between the leaving and the return with the aim for obtaining a multifaceted understanding trajectory of these young people.Downloads
